What is Counseling?

Counseling is a nonjudgmental safe space for individuals to discuss issues and challenges throughout their lives that affect their current state of mental health while maintaining confidentiality. The therapist is trained and competent in helping the client develop problem solving and coping skills while identifying a potential diagnosis that impacts mental health. 

What ages do you see?

We currently are seeing ages 13+ years old and up.

Do you take Insurance?

Yes, we take United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Optum, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. 

If I don’t have insurance, how much is your flat rate?

The flat rate is $200 per session. 

Do you have a "no-show" fee?

Yes, Our no show fee is $100 dollars. To avoid a no show fee, please provide us a 24 hour notice that you will have to miss your session. A no show fee disclaimer document will be provided at every intake session. If your appointment is on a Monday or if you call outside of business hours, please leave a voicemail or send an email despite the time. This will allow us to take notice of the timestamp regarding your request to cancel or reschedule to avoid no show fees.

Do you prescribe medication?

No, we currently do not have a psychiatrist on our team. However, if medication management is needed, please speak to Dr. Henry about recommendations for helpful psychiatrists nearby as a referral. 

How is counseling helpful?

Counseling assists individuals in identifying their purpose, identity, while building interpersonal relationships. Further, counseling helps with life transitions, conflict resolution, boundary setting, effective communication, and self-care to restore mental stability. 

Is my information confidential?

Yes, you will be provided with an informed consent to ensure your rights and limits to confidentiality required by the state. Further, your records will be kept in a HIPAA compliant database that is only accessible to the practice. Your personal information cannot be disclosed without your written permission. 

Does specialty counseling cost extras?

No, specialty counseling costs the same as individual counseling services. However, you have to request the specialty services to ensure that you are paired with a therapist that specializes in that service. 

Is your office in person or virtual?

At the moment, all services are virtual. 

Do you work with open court cases?

No, we do not work with open court cases related to custody battles or any other court appearances. 

M.O.S.H. is an online counseling platform, and all sessions are virtual.

We offer a FREE initial 15 minute therapy consultation to potential clients.

We accept the following insurance: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna.
We will be accepting United Healthcare, Optum, and Oxford soon.
